Si vous avez besoin de nous informer d'un problème de sécurité avec un produit, cliquez iciOur vision is to ensure that none of our packaging ends up in landfills or waste. We are helping to create a future where waste can be diverted from landfills and into lakes, rivers and oceans through smartly designed packaging, innovative new materials, better recycling infrastructure and reusable packaging.
On January 27, 2021, Nestlé Canada joined the Canada Plastics Pact (CPP), a collaborative, solutions-focused initiative that brings together industry, government and social organizations across Canada’s plastics value chain. The goal of the CPP is to drive meaningful system-wide change by rethinking how we design, use and reuse plastics, leading us toward a circular economy.
Plastic packaging plays a key role in providing consumers with safe, high-quality food and beverages and reducing food waste. We are working with industry partners to develop new materials and packaging solutions. Some of the packaging improvements in Canada include transitioning the Smarties line from plastic to responsibly sourced paper packaging.
By 2023, Nestlé had achieved a rate of 83.5% of plastic packaging designed for recycling globally and a 14.9% reduction in virgin plastic globally compared to our 2018 baseline.
